Engineering Technician - MRB Technician

Responsible for performing MRB (Material Review Board) evaluations and data analysis functions to support aerospace and industrial gas turbine manufacturing and engineering operations.

The MRB function involves technical review and disposition of non-conforming products, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams and application of advanced engineering judgement.  The data analyst portion focuses on analyzing scrap and rework data, along with Statistical Process Control (SPC) system data, to compile trends, identify areas for improvement, and recommend actionable solutions.

The position integrates technical expertise, problem-solving methodologies, and fosters a culture of innovation to improve Chromalloy’s operational performance.

* Typically, minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in aerospace or industrial gas turbine manufacturing, repair, or engineering technician roles, or equivalent experience with progressively increasing responsibility.

Typical Education

Associate's degree preferred but High School Degree with Aerospace working background would be acceptable.

Essential Duties / Tasks


* Document MRB decisions and maintain compliance with regulatory and customer specifications.


* Collaborate with design engineering, quality, and product engineering to assess impact of deviations on product performance and safety.


* Review and disposition non-conforming hardware in accordance with engineering procedures.


* Lead cross-functional MRB meetings to review product non-conformances and drive consensus on product dispositions.


* Provide technical guidance to manufacturing and quality teams on the interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.


* Collect, validate, and analyze scrap and rework data from production systems.


* Extract and interpret SPC system data to monitor process stability and capability.


* Compile and visualize scrap and rework trends across departments; prepare detailed reports highlighting key findings.


* Identify areas of improvement based on data insights and collaborate with engineering and production teams to propose corrective actions.


* Support root cause analysis for recurring scrap and rework.
