Position Overview
The Instrumentation Technician (2nd Shift) works Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM and is responsible for the testing, calibration, installation, repair, and inspection of manufacturing control and monitoring devices.

This role supports continuous improvement by ensuring accurate measurement systems and reliable instrumentation across operations.

Essential Job Functions


* Calibrate all equipment under the responsibility of the Instrumentation Department, maintaining calibration schedules and accurate records in accordance with company procedures


* Coordinate and oversee outside calibration vendors, including purchase order accuracy, customer requirement flow-down, and verification of completed work


* Perform periodic calibration of secondary standards traceable to NIST, documenting results per company standards


* Interpret and analyze instrumentation abnormalities, correct deviations, and perform necessary repairs


* Support Maintenance with troubleshooting of complex electrical systems, motor drives, hydraulic controls, rectifiers, power supplies, and water-cooling systems


* Maintain leak detectors and assist with leak checking when Production or Maintenance requires support


* Install new instrumentation or modify existing equipment as directed by Facilities Engineering and/or Maintenance


* Layout and construct electronic circuits using schematics, making modifications as needed to ensure proper functionality


* Troubleshoot electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment


* Maintain working knowledge of computers and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), including loading and verifying programs


* Train and assist employees on the use and operation of new instruments and control equipment


* Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision
