Position Summary

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining all floor surfaces throughout the facility to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

This position supports infection control standards and promotes a positive first impression of our community.
Key Responsibilities


* Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and polishing


* Operate and maintain floor care equipment (buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, etc.)


* Clean carpets, tile, vinyl, and other floor surfaces


* Follow proper safety and infection control procedures


* Maintain equipment and report needed repairs


* Assist with general housekeeping duties as needed


* Ensure compliance with all facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications


* Previous floor care experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)


* Knowledge of floor care chemicals and equipment


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team


* Strong attention to detail


* Ability to lift, bend, push, and stand for extended periods


* Positive attitude and strong work ethic
