Intern - Automation Engineering
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on IT assignments of moderate difficulty under the direction of a more senior mentor to build a well-rounded skillset.
- Escalate issues and questions to management, as necessary.
- Participate in group discussions with peers or external groups to solution problems of moderate scope.
- Participate in meetings to gain process knowledge and guidance on assigned projects.
- Read, understand, and perform assignments within prescribed guidelines.
- Approach challenges and create solutions with a critical thinking and customer service mindset.
- Prepare standard reports and presentation materials.
-Contribute to the development of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and automation guidelines.
- Apply strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify potential gaps in testing strategies and propose solutions.
-Participate in code reviews to improve coding practices and ensure maintainability of automation scripts.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies in AI, automation tools, and Python frameworks to support continuous improvement initiatives.
-Participate in evaluating and integrating AI-driven testing tools and platforms to improve quality assurance processes.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required and 0-2 years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Coursework or hands-on experience using Python for scripting, automation, or data processing.
-Familiarity with basic AI/ML concepts such as model input/output handling, prompt engineering, or using AI tools (e.g., for generating tests or analyzing results).
- Understanding of software testing principles, including functional, regression, and integration testing best practices
-Experience with Git/GitHub or any source control system, including reviewing or collaborating on code.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Comfortable preparing and delivering demo or presentation materials
