Housekeeper/Laundry - Las Colinas

Position Summary

The Laundry / Housekeeping Aide performs a variety of laundry and general housekeeping duties to ensure quality laundry services and to maintain the nursing home in a clean, sanitary, and odor-free condition.

This role is essential in supporting resident comfort, dignity, and overall quality of care.

Pay Range: $17.48-$19.00 per hour, DOE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available at all times to support resident care and comfort


* Maintain linens in good condition; remove from service any items with holes, stains, or excessive wear


* Collect resident laundry daily or as needed


* Label new resident clothing items as required


* Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens according to established procedures


* Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms in a timely manner


* Follow all sanitary processes and infection control procedures related to laundry services


* Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and notify leadership when replenishment is needed


* Operate all laundry equipment and supplies safely and properly


* Report laundry equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the Administrator

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience


* GED or High School Diploma required


* One (1) year of related experience preferred

Language Skills


* Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures

Mathematical Skills


* Basic math skills

Reasoning Ability


* Ability to problem-solve and seek assistance when needed

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations


* No certifications required
