Laundry / Housekeeping Aide
Position Overview

Looking for a steady weekend role where you can stay active and make a meaningful difference? As a Laundry / Housekeeping Aide, you help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents.

Your work directly supports their comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

This is a hands-on position that keeps you moving and working as part of a supportive team.
What You'll Do


* Ensure a consistent supply of clean linens for resident care and comfort


* Inspect linens and remove any items that are stained or in disrepair


* Collect resident laundry daily or as needed


* Label new residents' clothing items when necessary


* Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens


* Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms in a timely manner


* Follow all sanitation and infection control procedures


* Maintain inventory of laundry supplies


* Safely operate industrial washers, dryers, and related equipment


* Report any equipment concerns to the Administrator

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory duties.
Qualifications

Education and Experience


* GED or High School Diploma required


* One year of experience preferred

Skills and Abilities


* Ability to read and understand laundry and housekeeping procedures


* Basic math skills


* Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to ask for assistance when needed


* Ability to work independently while also being a dependable team member

No certifications required.
Physical Requirements

This is an active role that involves:


* Standing, walking, lifting, and moving throughout the shift


* Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds


* Regular use of industrial washers, dryers, and housekeeping equipment


* Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of linens
