🌟 General Purpose

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform respiratory/pulmonary therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct care to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities affecting the pulmonary system.

🩺 Essential Duties

• Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures of the facility.
• Perform focused interviews to identify specific patient needs.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from health care team members and document actual and/or potential diagnoses.
• Plan outcomes of care for assigned patients.
• Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and patient care outcome standards.
• Follow emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Promote and participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communication.
• Report changes in patient respiratory status to the Director/Supervisor of Respiratory Care Services, primary nurse, and physician as needed and prior to leaving the facility.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with inter-department personnel.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of resident protected health information (PHI) and report any suspected violations.
• Assume accountability and responsibility for assigned duties.

👩‍⚕️ Supervisory Requirements

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

🎓 Qualifications

Education & Experience:
✔ Associate Degree from an accredited school required
✔ Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
✔ Bachelor of Science in a healthcare field preferred
✔ Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in acute and/or subacute setting preferred

Certificates & Licenses:
✔ Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the state of practice
✔ Current CPR/BLS certification
✔ ACLS certification required
✔ Knowledge of office machines and equipment
