Consulting PHA Facilitator (Field Based)

ERM is hiring a Consulting PHA Facilitator in Covington, LA for ongoing support of a Key Oil and Gas client. This will be a 6 month limited-term consulting opportunity with potential to be ongoing for the duration of 1 year, renewable. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:


* This role does not directly support PSM programs or specific "element" implementation, PSM/RMP compliance mandates and/or auditing functions.

The focus is on the technical engineering aspects of process safety such as:


* Facilitation of process safety discussions as PHA leader (HAZOP, structured What-If)


* Preparation for and support of Hazard Identification (HazId) studies, Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) studies, Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), etc.


* Determination and evaluation of process hazards from process deviations


* Safety technical consultancy on prevention and protection concepts and technical solutions for production assets and within investment projects (national and international)


* Close cooperation with production, process technology and engineering

REQUIREMENTS:


* B.S.

in Engineering, Science, Process Technology or Chemistry minimum,


* Professional experience in PHA facilitation in oil and gas (preferably offshore), chemical industry in process safety, production, engineering or notified body (10+ years desired)


* Knowledge and experience in safety engineering


* Knowledge of relevant local regulations and industry standards


* Strong analytical skills, systematic and structured way of working


* Strong team and communication skills


* Initiative, sense of responsibility, flexibility
