Design Engineer Intern

A Design Engineer Intern at Reading Truck works under the direction of the Engineering Department in support of sustaining and new product development activities.

What you will do:


* DVP&R testing


* Document and reverse engineer competitor service bodies


* Engineering change notification


* Create and update standard work documents


* Create engineering 3D models and drawings

Program Requirements:


* Be a full-time student in a 4-year college program in aligned Major: Mechanical Engineering


* Junior year completed- preferred


* Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0


* SolidWorks experience


* Sheet metal forming understanding and experience


* Adhere to all company policies


* Attend orientation and check-in meetings


* Final presentation - prepare and present to company management

Work Environment


* Professional office environment and work on a manufacturing floor


* Sedentary work with extended periods of computer use


* Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) - if required
