Your Role & Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be the architect of our residents' functional recovery:



* Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans based on physician orders.


* Direct Clinical Care: Provide high-quality therapeutic interventions, ensuring strict compliance with established treatment protocols.


* Clinical Leadership: Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and provide specialized training to Restorative Aides to ensure continuity of care.


* Detailed Documentation: Maintain precise clinical records and facilitate clear communication with the broader healthcare team.


* Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and contribute to facility in-service training sessions.


* Discharge Planning: Assist with transition planning and provide vital education and training for residents' families and caregivers.


* Equipment Advocacy: Assess resident needs and provide recommendations for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to ensure safety and mobility.

Qualifications



* Licensure: Must hold a current and valid California Occupational Therapy License.
