Full-Time | Salaried Leadership Role | On-Call Rotation

New Castle Nursing & Rehab is a CMS 5-Star rated skilled nursing facility seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).

The ADON partners directly with the Director of Nursing (DON) to support nursing operations, survey readiness, staffing oversight, and quality improvement initiatives.

Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the DON in overseeing:


* Daily nursing operations


* Staffing coordination and accountability


* Clinical documentation and regulatory compliance


* QA/QAPI performance improvement initiatives


* Resident care standards and safety

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and visible engagement on the nursing floor.

Key Responsibilities


* Conduct clinical rounds to ensure quality of resident care


* Conduct joint rounds with the wound care physician to ensure proper treatment and timely follow‑up interventions



* Monitor care plan implementation and documentation accuracy


* Support staffing oversight and scheduling stability


* Assist with hiring, onboarding, evaluations, and staff development


* Participate in QA/QAPI and performance improvement processes


* Maintain survey readiness and regulatory compliance


* Address resident, family, and physician concerns promptly


* Serve as acting DON as needed

Qualifications


* Active, unencumbered RN license (required)


* Skilled nursing or long-term care (LTC) experience required


* Previous nursing leadership experience preferred


* Strong knowledge of state and federal LTC regulations


* Effective communication and problem-solving skills

Salary

$80,000 - $88,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time salaried leadership position.

Primarily Monday-Friday with on-call rotation.

Schedule flexibility required to support clinical operations and resident care needs.
