We're seeking a Project Engineer who thrives on ownership and impact.
In this role, you'll lead high-value mechanical, manufacturing, and electrical initiatives that enhance product performance and strengthen operational efficiency.
Location: Sturtevant, WI
What You'll Do:
* Own and improve our CAD, PDM/PLM, ERP, and QMS processes.
* Create accurate, manufacturable 2D drawings and 3D models.
* Ensure compliance with ANSI, ISO, and ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) standards.
* Lead design reviews, tolerance analysis, and DFM optimization.
* Manage engineering changes (ECR/ECO) and maintain controlled documentation and BOMs.
* Support projects from concept through production release.
* Prepare clear fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings.
* Partner with suppliers to ensure documentation accuracy.
* Drive drafting standardization and continuous improvement.
* Provide cross-functional support and occasional travel as needed.
What We're Looking For:
* Strong knowledge of GD&T, dimensioning, and tolerancing principles.
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, welding, casting, etc.).
* Experience with PDM/PLM/QMS systems, ERP systems, and revision control.
* High attention to detail with a track record of accurate documentation.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
* Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality systems preferred.
* Exposure to electrical or mechatronic systems is a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* Minimum 5 years related experience including project management, design, rotating equipment.
* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks).
* Experience with ERP software similar to Epicor or SAP.
