We're looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer with 3+ years of experience in precision manufacturing and final assembly.

About the Role:

The Manufacturing Process Specialist specializing in final assembly is responsible for optimizing and managing the processes that bring fabricated components together into a complete, high-quality product.

This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical assembly, component fitting, and quality assurance at the final stages of the production line.

CAD skills are essential for designing, refining, and documenting assembly processes and tools.

What You'll Do:


* Plan, implement, and refine the assembly procedures for various products, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and minimizing defects.

This includes creating and maintaining detailed work instructions.


* Use CAD software to design and improve assembly jigs, fixtures, and other tools.

This streamlines the assembly process and ensures consistency and precision.


* Oversee the joining and integration of fabricated parts, ensuring proper fit and function.

Analyze part designs in CAD to identify potential issues with assembly before production begins.


* Assembly Documentation: Create and update detailed, clear assembly documentation using CAD software.

This includes generating 2D prints and 3D exploded views that provide step-by-step guidance for assembly line staff.


* Develop and enforce quality control checkpoints during the assembly phase.

Use CAD models to inspect and test finished products against engineering specifications and tolerances.


* Investigate and resolve assembly-related issues, such as part misalignments or functional failures.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement process or design improvements using CAD data.


* Serve as a liaison between the fabrication, engineering, and quality teams to resolve design or manufacturing issues that impact assembly.


* Ensure all assembly line equipment, tools, and fixtures are properly maintained and calibrated.

Use CAD to plan optimal layouts and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
