Pharmacy Manager - Oncology

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, position scheduled to work Monday through Friday, with core hours between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM plus a manager on-call rotation.

Applicants hired into this position will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

UW Health is seeking an experienced and visionary Pharmacy Manager - Oncology to lead our rapidly expanding oncology pharmacy service line and support the complex, high acuity needs of cancer patients across our system.

This leader will play a critical role in ensuring clinical excellence, operational stability, and financial stewardship for one of the most strategically important areas of our organization.

We are seeking a Pharmacy Manager - Oncology to:


* Provide enterprise level leadership for oncology pharmacy services across all UW Health-Wisconsin locations.


* Ensure safe, evidence based, and efficient medication use for both adult and pediatric oncology patients while supporting the operational, quality, and accreditation needs of Wisconsin's only Comprehensive Cancer Center.


* Lead oncology drug cost containment strategies, including evidence based medicine initiatives, biosimilar optimization, drug budget forecasting, and resource efficient medication management.

Qualifications



* Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.

* Master's degree in pharmacy administration, healthcare administration, business or other relevant subject area.

* Pharm D degree.

Work Experience



* Completion of an ASHP PGY2 pharmacy residency in health-system pharmacy administration or five (5) years of relevant work experience.

* Three years of health-system pharmacy leadership or management experience.

Licenses & Certifications



* Licensed as a pharmacist in Wisconsin or must obtain within 90 days of hire date.

* BLS required or must be obtained within 90 days.

* Certification through the appropriate certifying program (Board of Pharmacy Specialties, National Board of Nutrition Support Certification, National Certification Board for Anticoagulation Providers, Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board, etc.).
