Position Summary:

This role supports the manufacturing process by designing, developing, and maintaining custom reports, queries, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines, and visualizations to drive actionable decision making by plant leadership, in addition to basic application and infrastructure support, using proven techniques to balance maintainability, productivity, and implementation speed.

As a Data Engineer for CPP, you will be working to maintain and improve reports with a variety of solutions such as Crystal Reports, SSRS, Power BI, and Microsoft Access.

You will also be tasked with fielding new requests and modernizing legacy reports in SSRS and PowerBI.

This is an in-person role that requires regular face-to-face conversations with stakeholders in a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate in this role will have the ability to develop flexible reports and solutions that can be modified based on end-user feedback

Duties and Responsibilities


* Develop, test, maintain, and improve both legacy and greenfield reports and datasets.


* Coordinate with team members on the applications team to create and improve source data.


* Serve as a point of contact for the operations, accounting, and engineering teams to field new requests and assist with scope / schedule definitions.


* Act as Tier 2 escalation for data and application issues that exceed Tier 1 scope

Minimum Qualifications


* 4+ years of focused experience in BI and Data Development


* Experience with T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio


* Experience with ETL, EDI, SSAS Models, star schemas, or other ancillary BI processes.


* Able to clearly communicate and follow through reliably on tasks and commitments.


* Capable of effectively managing time in an environment with competing priorities and shifting requirements.


* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications


* Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst Associate


* Experience working in manufacturing environments


* Familiarity with the Theory of Constraints and Inventory / tput management.


* Coding / Application Development experience is a plus


* Infor ERP Experience is a plus

Schedule / Expectations


* Mon - Fri, 8 hr shifts


* Occasional overtime, after hours, and weekend work required


* On Call Duties - 2 week rotation per 2 month period (25%).
