What You'll Do
As a Staff Occupational Therapist, you will:
* Evaluate patients within 24 hours (or 1 business day) of physician referral
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
* Provide treatment according to physician orders
* Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with state practice acts
* Participate in care conferences, rehab meetings, and utilization review
* Train nursing staff and Restorative Aides
* Educate patients and families on home programs and discharge planning
* Recommend and facilitate ordering of necessary adaptive equipment
* Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state regulations and payer requirements
* Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members
What We're Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy (Master's or Doctorate preferred)
* Current Occupational Therapist license in good standing (state-specific)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and team members
* Proficiency in electronic medical records (experience with NetHealth or PointClickCare a plus)
