File Room Supervisor

Title:  File Room Supervisor    

Location:  Nationwide   - Onsite at government facilities

Clearance: Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI)

Schedule: Due to the nature of law enforcement work and operation, position may require occasional support outside of core working hours, as well as intermittent weekend support, mission dependent.

Salary: $51,000/Annual

Job Summary:

The File Room Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and execution of all file room operations supporting the Asset Forfeiture Administrative Support Services program.

This role ensures the accurate establishment, maintenance, accountability, classification, indexing, and secure disposal of files while supervising file room personnel and enforcing established standards and procedures.

The File Room Supervisor must demonstrate strong experience in file room operations, document accountability, records control systems, and leadership of staff who handle sensitive information. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


* Supervise file room employees and oversee daily workflow, task assignments, and performance. 


* Establish new files and ensure proper configuration, labeling, and documentation.


* Maintain current files and verify completeness and accuracy of all file contents.


* Implement and manage a file accountability system to ensure traceability and prevent loss or misplacement.


* Develop and enforce secure disposal procedures for obsolete or inactive files in accordance with policies and regulations.


* Classify and index file materials (correspondence, reports, technical documents, etc.) within an established filing system covering varied subject matter.


* Maintain records associated with files, including logs, inventories, audit trails, and other documentation.


* Train and support staff to ensure compliance with security, chain-of-custody, and file-handling standards.


* Monitor workflow priorities to ensure prompt response to file requests and operational deadlines.


* Coordinate with program leadership and other departments to support investigations, case actions, and document retrieval needs.
