Fire Safety and Compliance Surveyor

Fire Safety Surveyor 

Salary up to £50,000 based on skills, qualifications and experience, up to 34 days off per year, and great family friendly policies. 

Patch based working - covering Hertfordshire, Essex and North London and occasional travel to East Anglia

Fixed Term 12 month contract, full time (37.5 hpw Monday to Friday)

What you'll do 



* Conduct pre- and post-inspections of fire risk actions completed by contractors and colleagues, covering a patch across Hertfordshire, Essex, and North London to ensure high-quality work for customers and colleagues


* Provide technical advice and support to trades, maintenance managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure a compliant, cost-effective, and high-quality service


* Manage contracts and monitor progress against building works schedules, using customer insight to help deliver on service promises


* Ensure all works meet health and safety standards, with zero tolerance for non-compliance.


* Oversee Fire Safety Contractors, including Fire Alarms, AOV Systems, and any related systems or issues


* Manage Passive Fire Safety Contractors for fire door replacements, remediations, and compartmentation/firestopping projects, and oversee yearly asbestos reinspection’s across the region

You have 


* Building surveying experience including property condition and Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) actions and specifying remedial works for active and passive projects. 


* CIOB Level 6 Certificate in Fire Safety or equivalent approved.


* Ideally hold RICS, CIOB professional registration or working towards this.    


* Current knowledge of building repairs, construction and safety.


* Able to manage, control budgets and expenditure.


* A self-starter approach, able to work unsupervised to manage your own patch, working commercially to deliver our programmes of work on time and to budget.
