Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Full-Time)

Your Creative Impact & Responsibilities

As an Activities Assistant, you will work hand-in-hand with the Activity Director to bring our community to life:



* Lead the Fun: Plan and conduct individual, small-group, and large-group activities ranging from games and crafts to music and celebrations.


* Calendar Creation: Help develop the monthly activity calendar to ensure a diverse and exciting schedule of events.


* Resident Advocacy: Facilitate communication between families, staff, and residents to ensure every individual's interests and needs are being met.


* Inclusive Programming: Develop specialized in-room activities for residents who are bed-bound or isolated, ensuring no one is left out.


* Support Independence: Encourage residents to pursue self-initiated hobbies and provide the necessary materials, such as audiobooks or craft supplies.


* Clinical Collaboration: Assist with resident assessments, discharge planning, and documenting quarterly progress notes to track the positive impact of our programs.


* Outing Coordination: Arrange transportation for residents for exciting outings and community appointments.

Qualifications



* Education: High school diploma or equivalent.


* Experience: Preferably at least one year of experience in a long-term care or post-acute facility.


* Attributes: A positive "can-do" attitude, excellent communication skills, and a heart for service.


* Organization: Ability to maintain a clean and orderly Activity Department while managing attendance records and documentation.
