Activities Assistant - Part-Time (2-3 Days/Week)

Location: Santa Cruz Post Acute
Starting Pay: $17 per hour and up, DOE
Schedule: Part-time, 2-3 days per week including weekdays and weekends

Position Summary

We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Assistant to help plan and lead activities that bring joy and connection to our residents.

If you enjoy working with seniors, have a positive attitude, and love making a difference, this role may be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities


* Assist in planning, coordinating, and leading group and one‑on‑one activities


* Encourage resident participation and provide support during activities


* Help set up and clean up activity spaces


* Document attendance and resident engagement per facility guidelines


* Escort residents to and from activities as needed


* Participate in special events, holiday programs, and outings


* Contribute to creating an engaging, fun, and inclusive environment

Qualifications


* Experience in activities or recreation preferred (senior care/healthcare a plus)


* Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic personality


* Ability to motivate and engage residents with varying needs


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills


* Able to work 2-3 days per week, including weekend availability


* Must pass background requirements per state regulations
