Product Controller Vice President
Make an impact in Treasury/CIO Finance at a Global Leading Bank.
Treasury/Chief Investment Office (TCIO) sits at the very center of the firm and directly influences the composition of the firm's balance sheet and the activities of its main lines of business.
TCIO is responsible for firmwide asset and liability management, including managing JPM's interest rate risk, its short- and long-term funding requirements, and its liquidity risk.
As a Product Controller, you will provide transaction analysis, P&L and risk, and project support to the TCIO Front Office as they execute transactions and manage resulting positions in support of TCIO's mission.
You will drive the effort to ensure the business's dynamic environment is well supported and properly controlled.
Due to the constant evolution of business and regulatory initiatives, your role will necessitate your involvement in daily processes as well as special projects.
You will work closely with Portfolio Managers to fully understand business drivers and support requirements, as well as colleagues within settlement, financial control, market risk, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and technology.
You will work closely with Controllers to understand complex accounting requirements and translate them into practice.
You will also lead transformation efforts to optimize P&L and Risk reporting processes and other business initiatives.
As a Product Controller, you will possess a financial mindset, an appreciation for complex system flows and the controls necessary to ensure their accuracy, a thorough understanding of financial instruments and relevant accounting principles, an aptitude for root/cause analysis, and an overriding eagerness to exhibit leadership and drive.
Job Responsibilities
* Understand production and substantiation of P&L and Risk to TCIO Front Office / Management.
* Lead various projects to support new business initiatives including active participation to on-board new products and design workflow to support their on-going requirements.
* Develop expertise in AFS and derivative hedge accounting and their application relative to TCIO financial statements.
* Participate in Strategic Re-engineering and global projects involving front/back end systems and closely partner across 3 regions.
Deliver substantive and meaningful contribution to group's work product.
* Understand & contribute to various control frameworks, i.e.
Control Self Assessment (CSA), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) & Business Control Committees (BCC's).Work closely with Control Management and the Chief Data Office to ensure effective controls are embedded within the team's processes and procedures.
* Identify opportunities for efficiency and work with Technology and Transformation Team to implement solutions.
