What will your job look like?

As a Transportation Accessibility Specialist, will be titled as "Mobility Assessment Evaluator", will help ensure individuals with disabilities and older adults receive fair, accurate, and timely ADA paratransit eligibility determinations, while also supporting independence and appropriate use of fixed-route public transportation whenever possible.

This role is intentionally designed to attract professionals from clinical disciplines and social-services or human-services backgrounds.

Whether your strengths lie in functional assessment, clinical observation, interviewing, advocacy, or structured decision-making, your work will directly shape equitable mobility outcomes.

What you’ll do:


* Assess & Determine Transportation Access
+ Conduct in-person interviews and functional assessments with applicants
+ Review ADA paratransit applications, intake forms, and professional verification materials
+ Determine required functional assessments and evaluate results
+ Apply observations and assessment findings to ADA eligibility determinations
+ Assess applicants’ ability to independently use fixed-route public transportation
+ Make final eligibility determinations in compliance with ADA regulations and contract standards


* Conduct Functional Assessments
+ Assessments may include:
o Outdoor and indoor physical functional assessments
o Cognitive and observational assessments (e.g., FACTS, MMSE)
o Standardized tools administered according to established protocols


* Document, Communicate & Defend Decisions
