Documentum Administrator-systems Engineer
Job Description
This position requires expertise in supporting a Documentum cloud platform, facilitating application upgrades and an understanding of migration best practices.
Cloud migration tasks involve requirements gathering, documentation, estimation, planning, project management, and evaluating new systems before implementation.
The candidate will provide technical supervision, leadership, customer support, troubleshooting, and end user training.
Responsibilities post-implementation also include managing user licenses, implementing a retention policy, monitoring system performance and tracking storage utilization.
Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain Documentum environments, ensuring optimal performance and high availability.
* Plan, execute, and oversee Documentum system upgrades, minimizing disruption to business operations.
* Lead migration projects to transition Documentum systems to cloud platforms, managing all facets of the migration process.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement Documentum-related projects.
* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary fixes and improvements.
* Ensure compliance with security policies and standards in all Documentum-related operations.
* Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders regarding Documentum systems and cloud technologies.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, procedures, and system configurations.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance Documentum and cloud practices.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 8-12 years of experience in Documentum administration, with a focus on system upgrades and cloud migration.
* Strong knowledge of Documentum architecture and components.
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Shell, Python, Ansible).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Relevant certifications in Documentum and cloud technologies are advantageous.
