Purpose Provides health care services applying x-ray energy and computer processing techniques to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
Performs computed tomography and related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
Provides appropriate patient care and recognized patient=s conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Essential Responsibilities:
1.
Demonstrates working knowledge of any and all modality specific ancillary equipment such as, contrast injectors, portable ultrasound unit, Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), patient monitoring, QC phantoms, PAC’s/RIS workstations.
Performs exams following modality specific protocols resulting in high quality images using appropriate imaging techniques.

Appropriate storage, handling and administration of intravenous contrast agents.
3.
Maintains documentation and insures accuracy of all pertinent patient and procedural data such as patient history, exam title, patient demographics, laterality markers, and modality specific questionnaires and screening tools.
4.
Prepares patient for procedure: providing instructions to obtain desired results.
Gain cooperation and minimize anxiety as per patient education standards.
5.
Applies safety principles to minimize risks to patient, self, and others.
