Work Schedule/Work Hours: Five days a week Monday- Saturday 7am-finish
Full Time employees supporting contracts for the Federal government that are covered by the Service Contract Act (SCA) earn fringe benefits according to their Wage Determination. JOB SUMMARY:
The Washer will ensure that all washing and drying of soiled linen is accomplished properly and to ensure the quality of each finished load.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Attend Laundry:
* Performs necessary laundry duties assigned during shifts to include; loading and operating washer extractors and dryers including setting correct formulas and drying temperatures, ensuring weights are correct for each load and transferring dried good to appropriate folding/pressing area.
Quality Control:
* Ensures all work is performed at the highest level of quality.
In addition, the incumbent will maintain housekeeping and safety standards including the wearing of protective equipment as required.
* Performs all linen services work functions as needed to maintain schedules.
Relationship Management:
* Reports to work prepared to accomplish duties as assigned and consistently communicate areas of concern or issues in an appropriate and timely manner to the floor supervisor for resolution.
* Performs other duties as required by the floor supervisor.
