Key Responsibilities


* Develop and implement effective, physician-approved treatment plans for patients.


* Provide direct patient care and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in line with state practice acts.


* Train restorative aides to ensure continuity of care.


* Communicate patient progress, problems, and plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.


* Document evaluations, progress notes, and other required information in a timely and compliant manner.


* Educate patients, families, and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiving techniques.


* Facilitate discharge planning and recommend necessary durable medical equipment.


* Maintain departmental equipment in good working order and report any issues.


* Relate positively and effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications


* Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California.
