Laundry

General Purpose

Performs a variety of general laundry and housekeeping/cleaning duties to provide quality laundry service and to maintain the nursing home in a sanitary manner, and free from offensive orders.

Essential Duties


* Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.


* Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.


* Label new resident's clothing items as needed


* Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens


* Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms


* Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.


* Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.


* Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.


* Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator

Qualification

GED or High School Diploma

1 year of experience preferred

Physical Demands


* Lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.


* Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods throughout the workday.


* Perform repetitive motions, including folding and sorting.


* Work in warm or humid environments produced by laundry machines.


* May be exposed to cleaning chemicals or detergents.


* Must have manual dexterity for operating laundry equipment safely.
