Lead Software Engineer - Identity Access Manager

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the [insert LOB or sub LOB], you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.
As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
* Architect and implement robust authentication systems: Design, develop, and maintain secure authentication and authorization solutions, leveraging industry-standard protocols (OIDC, OAuth, SAML, etc.) to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with security best practices.
* Champion security-first development: Consistently deliver high-quality, production-ready code with a strong emphasis on security, code reviews, and vulnerability mitigation.
Proactively identify and remediate security risks in backend systems.
* Lead technical troubleshooting and innovation: Tackle complex technical challenges with creative, non-conventional approaches.
Break down intricate problems and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions that align with business and client needs.
* Drive operational excellence: Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to enhance the stability, reliability, and performance of authentication and backend services.
* Evaluate and integrate new technologies: Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural fit, security posture, and integration potential for authentication and backend solutions.
* Mentor and develop talent: Guide junior engineers and peers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, extreme ownership, and mutual respect.
Encourage personal growth and technical excellence within the team.
* Promote best practices and community engagement: Lead communities of practice focused on authentication, security, and backend engineering.
Drive adoption of new technologies and share knowledge across teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience, with a proven track record in designing and building secure authentication systems.
* Expertise in authentication protocols: Deep knowledge of OIDC, OAuth, SAML, and related standards, with practical experience implementing and integrating these protocols in production environments.
