A Brief Overview

The Lead Tank Farm Attendant ensures the efficient operation of the tank farm by supervising daily activities, supporting team members, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.

This role plays a critical part in coordinating chemical and propellant handling, monitoring equipment, and ensuring that all processes run smoothly to meet production requirements.

What you will do


* Oversee the unloading of solvent tanker trucks in adherence to WIs.

Assist team members with chemical and waste transfers using pumps, filters, and hoses.

Ensure proper collection and delivery of chemical and propellant samples to the lab for testing.


* Guide and assist tank farm attendants in completing daily tasks.

Train team members on safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WIs).

Monitor team performance and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor/manager.


* Record and review data from gauges and consolidate inventory reports daily.

Monitor tank levels to ensure uninterrupted operations for the compounding department.

Collaborate with maintenance personnel to resolve equipment or tank issues and ensure readiness for shutdowns or startups.


* Enforce adherence to OSHA, RCRA, SPCC, and SWPPP regulations.

Ensure the use of required PPE and adherence to safety protocols by all team members.

Lead or assist in responding to and cleaning up incidental spills and managing non-incidental emergencies.


* Support the supervisor/manager in planning schedules, generating reports, and implementing improvement initiatives.
