As a proud local manufacturer, the plant delivers advanced energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability-specialising in Transformers, Kiosks and Switchgear.

We are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Benalla, Victoria.

This permanent position offers the chance to work across a diverse portfolio of mechanical design projects supporting highly customised customer requirements.

Primary responsibilities will see you:



* Utilise your proven mechanical background to carry out design activities, variations, design changes and other special projects when required


* Collaborating with a variety of passionate stakeholders to support the ongoing execution of varied mechanical/technical projects


* Manage project documentation, reporting and adhering to internal processes and other compliance requirements through a high attention to detail


* Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and Customer specifications


* Support various Tender requirements, quoting, review activities and other related tasks as you provide specialist technical input to support project execution and product development


* Collaborate with the wider Benalla team as you contribute to the growth of our operations in accordance with our strategy and ambitions

About You



* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering


* Previous design experience and proven knowledge of mechanical design principles


* Intermediate IT skills and a proven ability to utilise systems and interpret data


* Project management competencies and a proven ability to manage competing priorities


* A true collaborator who has achieved technical outcomes while teaming with varied stakeholders


* Those with experience in the design of similar specialist electrical products will be viewed favourably, as will those with previous experience in the use of SAP
