Starting rate: $45/hr and up (DOE)

Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and patient‑focused Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our rehabilitation team.

Our facility is resident‑centered and committed to delivering exceptional therapeutic outcomes in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high‑quality therapeutic services to post‑acute and long‑term care residents.

This role supports treatment plan implementation, functional progress, and the overall independence and well‑being of each resident.

Key Responsibilities


* Assist the Occupational Therapist in providing treatment services as outlined in individualized care plans


* Deliver therapeutic activities, ADL/functional training, and restorative interventions


* Support residents in improving independence with daily living skills


* Monitor and document resident progress accurately and timely according to state and federal guidelines


* Communicate effectively with the OT, interdisciplinary team, and nursing staff regarding resident status


* Educate residents and families on home programs, compensatory strategies, and safety practices


* Contribute to a positive, team‑oriented therapy environment

Qualifications


* Current California Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license in good standing


* Strong communication skills and ability to work within an interdisciplinary team


* Genuine passion for serving post‑acute and geriatric populations


* SNF experience preferred but not required — new grads welcome!
