Key Responsibilities



* Functional Treatment: Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OTR) to improve residents' independence in ADLs.


* Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate daily treatment notes and progress reports in accordance with state board standards.


* Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with nursing and the broader rehab team to ensure holistic care and successful resident outcomes.


* Patient & Family Education: Instruct residents and caregivers on the use of adaptive equipment and home modification strategies to facilitate safe discharge planning.


* Team Support: Participate in care conferences and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient progress and goals.


* Environment Safety: Ensure therapy areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained for our residents.

Qualifications



* Current, valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License in the state of California.


* A positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for geriatric and short-term rehabilitation.


* Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with residents and families.
