The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing improved methods of manufacturing, procedures, and processes which result in improved efficiencies, yields, machine operations, and quality.
Designs, develops, and manages sustaining engineering projects.
Coordinates with all departments to ensure smooth production startup.
Provides engineering support for existing products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
* Improve and simplify existing manufacturing processes by working with cross-functional teams focusing on Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Improvements.
* Work directly with manufacturing departments and plant management and develop business justifications and specifications for capital equipment expenditures as required.
* Designs and develops products, and generates documentation as needed.
* Investigate new materials as well as new manufacturing techniques.
* Makes decisions on technical matters related to product design.
* Plans, schedules, and manages small product development projects.
* Provides inter/intradepartmental communication and information relating to new products, process improvement and manufacturing projects.
* Develops cost estimates for projects and products.
* Generates quality systems and project related documentation as needed.
(i.e., DHF documents, work orders, charters).
* Understands and follows engineering related and overall company processes.
* Work with strategic sourcing and quality engineering to identify and qualify cost-effective and reliable suppliers.
These suppliers will support product and process requirements including raw materials, components, finished product, tooling, fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing systems.
