Guardian Industries (a Koch Company) is seeking a Mechanical, Chemical, or Ceramic Engineering Intern to join our team this coming Summer 2026 in Geneva, NY!

The internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running typically from late May to mid-August 2026.

Engineering Interns are assigned to one of our many U.S.

locations, likely in a manufacturing facility, to help support innovation, process efficiency, equipment reliability, and quality assurance, with a large overarching focus on compliance, safety, and health.

When considering and selecting location preferences, candidates should consider those facilities in which they're willing to work for the duration of their time as an intern, in addition to where they'd be interested in receiving a full-time offer from, should they perform well.

What You Will Do

• The initial goal for this specific internship will be working with the Float Line Process Engineers and Process Technicians, to begin learning about the Float Glass Process, and to assist in the technical care and control of the Process.

Some examples of responsibilities or projects from previous interns include:


* Understanding of Hot Repair Practices


* Create a working knowledge of the Mechanical and Electrical Systems that make up the Float line and what it takes to keep a 24/7/365 facility operational for a 20-year Campaign.


* Automation of processes and standardized reporting


* Time studies and lean process improvement to achieve operational excellence


* Alarm Rationalization and identifying Gaps in the process that need data logging


* Defect Analysis


* Supporting the process team in Projects and day to day operations.
