Children and Teen Dental of Alabama - Gardendale

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team and deliver exceptional clinical care in a fun, fast-paced pediatric dental practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Hygienist who is passionate about creating a comforting experience for young patients and their families while supporting our Dentists with comprehensive care.

Our practice has proudly served the community for over 30 years, offering a collaborative, all-inclusive environment that provides specialty care.

The ideal candidate is a team player who loves working with children, communicates effectively with parents and caregivers, and is eager to grow their skills through mentorship and continuing education.

Position Details:


* Schedule: Full time - Monday-Thursday 8AM - 5PM Monthly Scheduled Fridays


* Location: Gardendale, Alabama

Key Responsibilities:


* Provide exceptional oral hygiene care and patient education tailored to pediatric needs.


* Perform radiographs and ensure adherence to infection control procedures.


* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide care for children, including those with special healthcare needs.


* Communicate effectively with patients, parents, guardians, and caregivers.


* Support a positive, organized, and efficient clinical workflow.

Requirements:


* Proficiency in taking radiographs and understanding infection control protocols.


* Strong communication and organizational skills.


* Experience working with patients with cognitive and developmental challenges is a plus.


* Ability to engage and educate children and families in a friendly, approachable manner.


* Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage time efficiently.

Qualifications:


* Current Registered Dental Hygienist License for the state of Alabama.


* CPR certification.


* Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and HITECH requirements.
