Tool Installation & Equipment Support Technician Level I
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Support installation, positioning, and hookup of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
* Assist Engineers and Senior Technicians during supplier-led commissioning, checkout, and acceptance activities (FAT/SAT).
* Participate in commissioning meetings, readiness reviews, and daily coordination as assigned.
* Execute assigned installation and commissioning tasks and own them through completion and verification.
* Verify work against drawings, procedures, and checklists; identify and communicate issues clearly.
* Support supplier and contractor activities by preparing tools, utilities, and work areas.
* Track assigned supplier action items and communicate status and completion to the team.
* Perform basic preventive maintenance and equipment checks; assist with corrective maintenance and tool recovery.
* Operate equipment post-installation or maintenance to verify functionality.
* Learn equipment subsystems (vacuum, gas delivery, power, exhaust, cooling).
* Accurately document work performed and equipment status in Camstar or related systems.
* Take ownership of assigned tasks, follow procedures and safety requirements, and communicate risks or delays promptly.
* Actively participate in training, certification, and skill development activities.
Education & Experience
* High School Diploma or equivalent with demonstrated technical aptitude
* Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred
* Military electronics or technical training accepted
Skills
* Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
* Ability to read and follow technical instructions and procedures
* Familiarity with hand tools and basic measurement equipment
* Strong attention to detail and task ownership
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and within a team environment
* Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced build environment
Working Conditions
* Work in Class 100/1000 cleanroom environments
* Wear full cleanroom attire
* Exposure to chemicals, hazardous and non-hazardous gases
* Use of hand and power tools

Physical Requirements
* Stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours)
* Lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 150 lbs
* Ability to work compressed schedules as require
