Associate Financial Analyst, Customer Relations

Job Description

As the Associate Financial Analyst, Customer Relations, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the needs of the functional area, including activities related to payment application and dispute resolution, financial reporting, financial planning and analyses, and implementation of financial concepts and processes.

You will also be responsible for responding to any ad hoc requests from inside and outside the function, ensuring high quality, accurate response and timely follow-up.

Responsibilities



* Lead daily cash application operations: lockbox, ACH/EDI, wire, credit card, AZPRO, and manual entries


* Collaboration with other internal teams (ReconNet, General Accounting, Treasury, & Supply Chain) on period reconciliations


* Coordinate shared duties with BTSSC team leaders (e.g.

lockbox, ACH, credit cards, write-offs).

SLA of $100 for every invoice and refund incident


* Provides financial information and reports to functional areas as needed


* Detects, troubleshoots, and resolves issues affecting payment application, financial reporting, and business operations


* Processes and analyzes basic financial data to proactively identify trends or issues that may impact commercial customers


* Creates and maintains process documentation and assists with process testing as needed


* Assists in the performance of tasks related to month end, period close, quarter close, and year end close functions


* Cross trains with other team members on critical report and analysis processes including Mexico teams


* Gains learning and experience through meetings with senior executives


* Responds to ad hoc requests on a timely basis

Qualifications

REQUIRED:


* Associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent experience in payment analysis for a large organization


* Intermediate proficiency in MS Office programs (e.g., Excel, Word)


* Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills


* Quarterly travel to Mexico as needed

PREFERRED:


* Bachelor's degree in business or accounting


* Understanding of financial controls, deductions management, and risk indicators associated with customer payment behaviors


* Exposure to bank statements, lockbox files, and cash application tools
