Anesthesia Technician

Nemours is seeking an anesthesia tech to join our Florida Team!

The anesthesia technician serves as an integral member of the anesthesia patient care team.

She/he assists the licensed anesthesia providers in various settings, performing duties under the direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider and /or Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities


* This position provides support for surgical/procedural cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.


* The anesthesia tech performs first level maintenance on anesthesia equipment.


* Cleans, disinfects, sends for sterilization, stocks, orders and maintains the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.


* The position performs as an unlicensed, trained, assistive person and completes technical duties as they pertain to anesthesia support.

Qualifications


* High School Diploma or GED


* ACLS/PALS preferred National certification as CER.A.T.

or CER.A.T.T.

from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians preferred


* BLS required upon hire


* 1-year Prior experience in an ambulatory or acute care hospital in Surgical or Perioperative Services
