Analyst, Operational Analytics
The Operational Analytics Analyst Analytics plays a key role in supporting cross-functional technical initiatives within midstream oil & gas operations.
This position is responsible for driving visibility, accountability, and documentation across engineering, operations, and analytics teams.
The ideal candidate brings strong coordination skills, technical insight, and a proactive approach to improving reporting and data integrity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Weekly Technical Status Reporting:
+ Coordinate with technical teams to compile and synthesize weekly status updates.
+ Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery of reports to leadership.
* Project Coordination:
+ Attend key meetings across technical departments.
+ Document action items and follow up to ensure timely completion.
+ Maintain a centralized tracker and escalate delays or blockers.
* PI Tag Management/ Data Quality:
+ Review P&ID & SCADA/ProcessBook application for tracking down needed PI tags.
+ Maintain and update PI tag-to-asset cross-reference documentation.
+ Assist in identifying, documenting, and resolving data quality issues for different projects or systems.
+ Work with engineering and operations teams to ensure data integrity and traceability.
* Ownership & Initiative:
+ Take initiative in identifying gaps or inefficiencies in reporting and tracking processes.
+ Propose and implement improvements to enhance team productivity and visibility.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
* 5 years of experience in an analyst role, preferably in oil & gas or technical operations.
* Familiarity with PI System (OSIsoft) or DataPARC and asset data management.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Spotfire).
* Experience with project management tools: Microsoft Azure Dev Ops (TFS), and Monday.com is a plus.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Experience in midstream oil & gas operations.
* Comfortable working with technical teams and translating technical language into business insights.
* Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
