About the Role
The Clinician II provides a range of clinically indicated services to adults and older adults with behavioral health conditions.
Services include individual psychotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and case management.
This role is responsible for assessing client functioning and needs and partnering with clients to develop individualized, recovery-focused care plans.
The Clinician II may also provide clinical support to Interns, as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
* Comply with all accurate and appropriate charting, coding, and billing procedures as required by regulatory organizations.
* Document delivery of services in the medical record and complete all paperwork to agency standards and required timelines.
* Meet or exceed service hour expectations and/or response time expectations established by the agency.
* Complete client assessments in accordance with the DSM and other external and internal requirements, as qualifications allow.
* Maintain primary responsibility for the treatment of an assigned caseload.
* Establish treatment plans and goals with clients and evaluate progress throughout treatment.
* Routinely assess for risk issues, including danger to self and others, and develop mitigation plans with clients.
* Provide individual psychotherapy and other medically necessary behavioral health services using Evidence-Based Practices whenever possible.
* Plan, implement, and facilitate group therapy services.
* Monitor compliance with court orders, seek extensions when indicated, and complete required documentation.
* Collaborate with psychiatric services, emergency services, and other treatment team members.
* Coordinate services with community agencies (e.g., DSHS, DDD, courts) as part of a treatment team.
* Make appropriate referrals for auxiliary services such as substance use treatment when clinically indicated.
* Coordinate care with primary care providers, collaborating professionals, and natural supports.
* Participate in regularly scheduled supervision and team meetings.
* Remain compliant with required trainings and certifications.
* Behave in an ethical and professional manner consistent with agency policy, state law, and licensing entities.
* Safeguard client protected health information in accordance with Compass Health HIPAA and agency policies.

What You Bring Education / Experience / Licensure
* MA/MS/MSW degree in a Behavioral Science-related field.
* Qualification as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by WAC preferred.
