Therapy and Wellness Specialist -Occupational Therapist

American Senior Communities is hiring an Occupational Therapist for our Therapy and Wellness Specialist role

The Therapy and Wellness Specialist assists clinical and operational therapy and wellness services at multiple skilled nursing properties to optimize clinical outcomes in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Job Duties


* Educate therapy staff in efficient delivery of skilled therapy services.


* Provide back-up support for the Directors of Therapy, as needed. 


* Provide direct patient care, as needed.


* Education and training of therapy leaders regarding financial impact and responsibilities of the therapy department. 


* Quality assurance tasks in billing, documentation, overall operations and management of the therapy department. 

Qualifications


* Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education school of Occupational Therapy.


* Indiana State Occupational Therapy license, or the ability to obtain an Indiana license.


* Minimum five years’ clinical experience.


* Supervisory experience in long-term care, multi-site management experience preferred.


* Must be able to travel to communities located throughout Indiana.
