As an Emerging Technology Lawyer in the Technology Legal Team, you will become a thought leader and trusted advisor to multiple business units seeking to leverage new technologies for product and service innovation.

You will play an important role in structuring and negotiating complex agreements with various third parties, including universities, government research labs, and commercial entities.

This position offers the chance to work at the intersection of technology and finance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve novel legal challenges and drive the Bank's ambitious technology agenda.

Job Responsibilities:


* Advise business, strategy, and technology stakeholders on legal risks related to emerging technology initiatives.


* Structure and negotiate agreements with vendors, partners, and third parties for blockchain, digital assets, and quantum computing projects.


* Negotiate and structure engagements with universities and national laboratories on cutting-edge research collaborations.


* Partner with regulatory and government relations teams to guide global policy on digital assets, central bank digital currencies, and distributed ledger technologies.


* Provide advisory and transactional support to applied research teams and innovation centers.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address novel legal issues in financial services technology applications.


* Educate and counsel internal legal colleagues on emerging technology topics.


* Draft and negotiate complex documentation, including NDAs, evaluation agreements, proofs of concept, MOUs, and consortia agreements.
