Position Summary

Bakersfield Post Acute is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Part-Time Dietary Aide to support our dietary services department.

This role plays a key part in ensuring residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while maintaining all sanitation and food safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities


* Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to planned menus and resident dietary needs


* Deliver meal trays and beverages to residents in a timely and courteous manner


* Set up and break down dining areas before and after meals


* Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation guidelines


* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and food service areas


* Follow all infection control, food safety, and facility policies


* Assist with storing food supplies and rotating stock as needed


* Provide respectful and compassionate service to residents, visitors, and staff

Qualifications


* High school diploma or GED preferred


* Prior dietary or food service experience preferred, but not required


* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions


* Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team


* Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, lifting, and bending

Physical Requirements


* Ability to stand for extended periods


* Ability to lift and carry food trays and kitchen items


* Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks
