From waste water treatment to facility controls, these behind-the-scenes systems are essential to how we operate responsibly every day.

This entry-level internship is designed for students interested in engineering, utilities, or industrial systems who want hands-on exposure to environmental compliance, maintenance collaboration, and continuous improvement in a real manufacturing setting.

 

What You’ll Be Working On:

Utilities & Waste water Operations (Hands-On Learning)



* Assist with operating, inspecting, and monitoring wastewater treatment equipment under supervision


* Support collection of waste water data, samples, and basic laboratory testing


* Learn how facility controls are adjusted to maintain required operating standards


* Observe and assist with odor control system operations 

Engineering & Improvement Projects 



* Support special projects to identify improvement needs and ideas to return systems to base condition


* Work with the Maintenance Manager to help identify site improvement opportunities and understand how funding requests are developed

Partner with the Engineering Team



* Review control system monitoring needs


* Identify potential system improvements


* Learn how capital improvement requests are evaluated and submitted  

Safety, Compliance & Documentation



* Learn how environmental permits, SOPs, and emergency plans are followed


* Assist with ensuring monitoring requirements align with regulatory standards


* Gain exposure to state and federal environmental compliance requirements 

This role is built for learning—you’ll be guided, supported, and mentored while gaining real-world experience in systems most people never see but every facility relies on.
