R&D Intern

DAP is looking to hire R&D Intern for Summer 2026.

Responsibilities:

The summer intern would work under mentorship of a senior scientist / Supervisor to perform collaborative research for development adhesives or repair products with unique and differentiated properties. 

The intern will work on 


* Conduct formulation optimization of hybrid sealants by modifying prepolymers, UV stabilizers, additives, and fillers, followed by evaluating elongation properties, storage stability, UV resistance, and adhesion performance.

Pay


* $17 / hour.

Requirements


* Major:  Chemistry


* Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.


* General lab skills (formulating, mixing, ability to research test methods and raw materials).


* General understanding of adhesive and sealants.


* Good time management.


* Data analysis.

Organized.


* Good communication skill and time management.


* Likes to work with hands-on testing in a laboratory setting.


* Attention to details, inquisitive, good notes taker, desire to learn and grow.
