Director of Operations (Plant Manager)
Qualifications
* Bachelors' degree from an accredited university required; preferred to be in Engineering, Business, Operations or related field.
* 7 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with five (5) or more years of that time in senior-level leadership roles.
* Prior experience in customer service or supply chain is preferred.
* Extensive knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing, preferably in the fastener industry.
* Proven leadership and management skills.
* Thorough knowledge of complex electronic business enterprise systems.
* Ability to work effectively with employees, peers, senior-level leaders, customers and vendor representatives.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
* Ability to work independently, prioritizing and completing multiple work assignments in diverse fields with minimal direction.
* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Job Description
The Waco facility is looking for a Director of Operations role who can: Deliver increased shareholder value through the management and leadership of the Waco manufacturing facility, has full Profit and Loss responsibility, Cashflow and Return on Investment responsibility, plans, directs and executes the unit's manufacturing plan, ensures conformance with Howmet standards, policies, regulations, and procedures within the scope of authority, maximizes customer satisfaction through deployment of the SOP (sales and operation plan) and on-time delivery of products which meet required specifications, continually improves the OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) of manufacturing processes, through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, seeks to improve profit performance across all product lines through continual cost reduction, and can effectively manage inventory to reduce days on hand and maximize cash flow.

* Develops annual revenue and manufacturing plan in consultation with other senior-level unit leaders to ensure proper deployment of resources to achieve required levels of production and to meet customer delivery requirements.
* Provides positive leadership to subordinate managers and to all assigned employees.
Ensures open communications and responds to employee concerns in an appropriate manner.
Seeks to improve the knowledge, skill and ability of people.
Deals proactively with substandard performance.
* Ensures full compliance with EHS standards, policies, procedures and processes as they apply to area of accountability.
