Switchgear Quotation Specialist

What will you do?

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Quotation Specialist - Medium & Low Voltage Switchgear in our Dollard-des-Ormeaux (QC) location.

This position is accountable for preparation of quotations for product/project orders while driving a high level of customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be able to analyze the needs of the customer, and deliver a solution based on the customer's application requirements.



* Review RFQ's for clarity of request, suitability for Schneider Electric product offering, risk assessment, profitability, and time given to complete quotations.


* Initiate RFQ discussion with Tender manager, Tender lead, and Sales to discuss requirements, advise recommendations, and suggest optimizations.


* Match products to customer specifications and drawings by demonstrating knowledge of products.


* Optimize offering to improve success and customer experience.


* Reviews customer specifications/drawings to ensure quote is technically compatible and competitive.


* Understands, analyzes, documents, and communicates contractual and technical terms and conditions relative to the company standard.


* Maintains a current understanding of quote strategies and market conditions.


* Identify and promote opportunities to improve the quotation process and measure effectiveness.


* Attends & assists for both internal & external inquires/meetings during project execution.

* Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics (preferred) or relevant experience


* Quotation experience in the Electrical Industry (preferred)


* Ability to understand single line diagrams, schematics, and specifications


* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines


* Ability to work independently and on a team


* Strong interpersonal and communication skills


* Functional knowledge of English and French is required.

Must be able to work with stakeholders located in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and internationally.
