Job Title: Janitor PM SHIFT 10:30 AM- 7:00 PM
Job Summary

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

This position ensures that the facility meets cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards through routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Maintain cleanliness of all common areas, resident rooms, offices, restrooms, and other assigned areas.


* Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.


* Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, floors, and high-touch surfaces according to established procedures.


* Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and stored properly; notify administration when supplies are low.


* Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions.


* Follow all sanitary, safety, and infection control procedures.


* Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the Administrator.


* Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities


* This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience


* GED or High School Diploma required.


* One (1) year of janitorial or housekeeping experience preferred.

Language Skills


* Ability to read and understand cleaning procedures and safety instructions.

Mathematical Skills


* Basic math skills required.

Reasoning Ability


* Ability to recognize problems, use sound judgment, and seek assistance when needed.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations


* No certifications required.
