Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions.

Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices.

Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules.

Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues.

Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.

Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows.

Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Creating Java web applications; Validating new requirements with stakeholders; Designing systems for high availability; Front-end application and UI development; Injecting dependencies via Java EE application server interactions; Designing secure APIs using SOAP and Rest-based web services; Implementing Java EE APIs using Spring Boot; Developing continuous integration builds using patterns; Managing, developing, and planning application deployments that do not require downtime; Identifying issues with component interactions using integration testing; Testing whether applications meet business requirements, function as intended, and integrate seamlessly with other systems using enterprise testing; Providing application support within a production environment; Utilizing Spring Core APIs including Spring security, Cron scheduler, Spring Lombak, Spring Feign client, and Spring aspect API's; Creating and executing parallel thread implementations to reduce SLAs using multi-threaded programming; Designing and configuring thread concurrent pools using concurrent programming; Utilizing Java Native Parsers including Document-object-model and Simple API XML which are then adopted by application teams; Implementing factory-based, singleton, sliding window, and MVC design patterns; Designing and developing contract lookup and discovery of services on ...
