Business Systems Apprentice

Role Title: Business Systems Apprentice

Location: Telford (Hybrid)

Apprentice Level: UK Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship Programme

Salary: £23,000

Role Mission:

As a Business Systems Apprentice, you will embark on a learning journey that merges business acumen with data-driven insights.

You will be at the forefront of translating business needs into innovative solutions, leveraging analytical tools and methodologies to drive informed decision-making.

Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, gathering and analyzing data, and contributing to the optimization of business processes.

Initially, you will work within Customer Operations (Customer Care, Order Processing, Returns) and our Services business to gain an understanding of the operational processes and systems, and then support those systems within the back-office team.

You will work with Analysts and Senior Analysts to learn key skills in analyzing data, troubleshooting and problem-solving, as well as how to perform user acceptance testing and non-regression testing.

You will also support business systems including ERP (SAP), Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce CRM), CTI (Genesys), Ecommerce, and Quotation tools.

Key Responsibilities:


* Manage user issues by troubleshooting to identify the root cause, resolving problems and/or escalating to the next level of support.



* IT Administration - setting up new users and modifying user permissions.



* Support Senior Analysts with testing of new systems and process changes.



* Work with data in Excel, Power Pivot, and/or Tableau to provide reports and analytics for operational teams.



* Automate processes using Power Automate, Python scripting, Excel, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.

Training:

During your apprenticeship, you will receive two different types of training.

'On-the-job' training will be delivered by Schneider Electric, as your employer.

You'll receive training and supervision to help you perform the job you've been hired to do.

This will include skills and knowledge that fall outside of the apprenticeship but are needed for the job role.

As well as providing 'on-the-job' training, it is important that we support you in additional ways to ensure your success.

Types of support will include:


* A comprehensive induction


* Mentoring or regular one-to-one guidance


* Social enrichment and networking opportunities


* Performance reviews


* Mental health and wellbeing support


* Feedback opportunities

'Off-the-job' training is delivered by one of our carefully selected Training Providers during your normal working hours.

You will spend at least 20% (average 6 hours per week) of your working hours completing 'off-the-job' training.

This is protected time and is a requirement for apprenticeship delivery.
